I am into making of brand new company, that will replace and upgrade Leka Web and Graphic Design Studio. New website comes along within new package. Almost everything will change, including approach and rules of the game. Stay tuned to learn more about this change. Deadline for finalization is scheduled for mid summer this year. I hope everything will work as planned.

Kuhinja, e-volved.org

After some time I decided to make CP of e-volved.org a bit more pleasant.
It’s clean as I would like my kitchen to be, all the time.

Another successful project, done together with Art Mediator Group.
Redesign of Amsterdamse Gevelstenen website, the biggest collection (round 960! and counting) of relief tiles embedded into buildings all over Amsterdam.

Take a look at Amsterdamse Gevelstenen website for more information.
And take a look at Art Mediator Group website for other interesting projects.
And look for more on my work, on my website.

New projects

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

Recently I was busy with 3 projects in almost the same time.

Website for E-volved.org was quite a pleasure. Very graphical, yet simple. Nice co-operation with the client.
Redesign of ArtBone. Again, nice approach, fast, but quite efficient. Since it is almost entirely my project, I have had freedom to do what I wanted. What a joy! It is still in progress, considering complex structure of it. But I will leave out details for now.

Redesign of my own website. That one is a never-ending story. It’s a 10th version by now, and who knows how many there will be in the future. Now, I took freedom to include some more works of different kinds, to show a bit what else I do. It drew me in, and I couldn’t stop uploading images… I will still have to think about it. It’s not exactly my style, but hey! Times change, people change. However, that CMS is very robust, and customizable, so it offers much more possibilities. And friendlier to change and update… Take a look and write your feedback. I’ll be happy to hear what you think of it.

Some time ago, I made a web shop, almost for fun. Actually, it was an example for another client, for customizing online shop, so it looks a bit more casual, friendlier, than most of the net shops around. I might just leave it there, make it work, and who knows? Maybe you would be interested in one of those artworks? Eh?

CSS Mastery: Advanced Web Standards Solutions Actually, I’ve read it already sometime last year. I was impressed by the way it went straight into things I needed at the time. Just as the review from here says:

“Through a series of easy-to-follow tutorials, you will learn practical CSS techniques you can immediately start using in your daily work. Browser inconsistencies are the thorn in most CSS developers’ sides, so we have dedicated two whole chapters to CSS hacks, filters, and bug fixing, as well as looking at image replacement; professional link, form, and list styling; pure CSS layouts; and much more. All of these techniques are then put into practice in two beautifully designed case studies, written by two of the world’s best CSS designers, Simon Collison and Cameron Moll. Summary of Contents:

  • Chapter 1: Setting the Foundations
  • Chapter 2: Visual Formatting Model Recap
  • Chapter 3: Background Images and Image Replacement
  • Chapter 4: Styling Links
  • Chapter 5: Styling Lists and Creating Nav Bars
  • Chapter 6: Styling Forms and Data Tables
  • Chapter 7: Layout
  • Chapter 8: Hacks and Filters
  • Chapter 9: Bugs and Bug Fixing
  • Case Study 1: More Than Doodles
  • Case Study 2: Tuscany Luxury Resorts”

I will be back soon with more words…
